We all have certain things that we can’t live without – material or non-materialistic. In today’s post, I’m talking about the ten things I personally love and can’t live without. Believe it or not, this list was a lot harder to narrow down than I thought. Enjoy!
♥ Family & Friends – They are the backbone to my life. As I grow older, I realize this is the most important thing to have in life and to choose to spend time with those that lift you up and are there when you need them most.
♥ My dog, Chico. Woof! – Chico is my beautiful 11 year old Westie and I love him to pieces. He makes me so happy gives me the sweetest cuddles. Those who have a dog can relate – they honestly are a man’s best friend!
♥ Great Skincare – As a skincare enthusiast, I have to include this! My absolute favourite brand is Paula’s Choice (without a doubt). There are so many factors I consider when buying skincare – Is it packaged so that the ingredients don’t deteriorate? Is it fragrance/colour free? Is it loaded with antioxidants, ceramides, and skin-soothing ingredients?
♥ Kickboxing/Exercise – My stress reliever & healthy habit. Exercising in general, whether walking, running, dancing, etc., has the best benefits for our bodies. It produces endorphins which are feel-good hormones, reduces stress, and all around makes you feel so much better. There hasn’t been a single workout I have regretted!
♥ Tea – Green, black, and Roibos are my faves. As you may already know, tea has a beautiful source of antioxidants which help to protect and heal cells from free radicals. You will notice a difference in both your skin and also how you feel!
♥ Bath – This is such a great way to relax & unwind after a long day. It’s the perfect time to zen and recharge for the next day! I love to add epsom salts to my bath as well as a LUSH Bath Bomb when I am feeling in the need for extra pampering!
♥ Music – As mentioned in my ’10 Tips to Easily Change Your Mood’ post, music is incredibly therapeutic and a total mood changer. My top artists are: The Script, Kygo, Ruth B., One Republic, and good old classical piano when I need to focus. What are your favourites?
♥ Travelling – Travelling is so important to me because I find it to be a break from reality. When I get the craving to travel, I try my best to fulfill it – even if it is a 3 hour drive away (Seattle) or 2 hour plane trip (LA). Save. Travel. Repeat.
♥ My iPhone (7+) – Let’s face it, most of us are likely glued to our phones 24/7 answering emails, scrolling through IG feeds, replying to texts we forgot to reply to a week ago (guilty)… I had to throw this one in. While I am at it, I may as well include my current phone case – totally obsessed with it!
♥ Money – $ gives me the freedom to buy what I want, when I want it. It’s the truth. Obviously I don’t go crazy and buy everything, but it’s nice to know that money I have saved can be used to buy that delicious meal, or those shoes I have been eyeing, which are finally on sale! If you are interested in some of my top tips on saving money, I wrote a post all about it!
